At the heart of everything that we do is our passion for teaching correct  Rocian Gracie methods and our commitment to our students. We believe in not just teaching self defense or fighting we believe in culturing all student  and teaching martial arts and family values. We also want our younger student to strive for academic excellence.  Our academy is operated by three generation of family members who are current or retired competitors and full contact fighters who are also world certified high level masters  and instructor. All our staff members must pass a full background checks to qualify to coach or teach and we are "Safe Sport Certified" to teach children. Our unique programs and training classes are second to none and we strive to give the best to all our members.  Professor Spillmann has decades of experience teaching Brazilian JiuJitsu methods and many other martial art styles as taught to him by his Grandmasters. We offer classes in Brazilian JiuJitsu, Self Defense and mixed martial arts. Most our members are focused on learning martial arts as a hobby or to help over come life's obstacles and build confidence, fitness while learning practical self defense.

TEAM MEMBERS:  Even though our main focus is inner growth, self improvement  and self defense methods, we do have a handful of students that want to be competitors and are on our team roster. Those competitors must meet the team requirements otherwise they can not compete. No student is permitted in the cage without attending classes and learning the needed skills to avoid serious injuries. If you want to be on our team, "you must" meet our team requirements. As in the past, if you can't  meet the team training requirements, then the coach will remove you from our team. We are here to win and expect a team member to give 100% to training. We have a history of developing leaders and champions. We are a family and fight to win and we never give up, so leave your ego at the door.

Our school has been ranked as one of the top Martial Arts School time and time again. The GMA Team keeps winning top events. Professor Spillmann and his sons know how to create champions. The GMA academy is known for developing top students and leaders with great skills and strong defensive and fighting abilities. Our students have multitudes of wins in Taekwondo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Karate and many MMA wins. GMA’s master-level instructors are internationally certified in multiple martial arts. Professor Spillmann is an 9th-Degree Black Belt in TaeKwonDo, who holds black belt rankings in several martial arts and received his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt from Rocian Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in 2000.  
 

Professor Spillmann started martial arts training at the age of 4 and at 60 years of age he has taught martial arts in the United States and abroad for almost 45 years. He has worked with UFC fighters and many pro fighters over the years and his son Kurt has competed in many MMA fights and was undefeated. The academy is registered with the International Brazilian JiuJitsu Federation / USA Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation, International TaeKwonDo Federation, USA Boxing. USA TaeKwondo and the American Athletic Union. Our main focus is training students of all ages to learn to defend themselves. Our methods are proven but it requires dedication, trust and perseverance from students to become the best. If you want to be an MMA fighter you must be dedicate otherwise we will not take you into the team program, if you miss training days or you are not coachable you will be dropped from the roster and moved to regular training classes.
